In his book, Dynamic
of Leadership Anointing, Rev. Baisie opens, with the sacred truth that a
successful ministry rests primarily on sound and effective godly leadership.
His lament that sadly, "the quality of leadership continues to fall and set new
lows” is a view shared by many. His book is, understandably, a wake-up call to
full–time Servants of God and indeed a challenge to all Christians, to execute the mission to the best of one's abilities, seeking only God’s honour and
glory alone in the process, a service in which no personal gains,
interests or laurels must be sought.
Rev. Baisie identifies the "top ten” reasons for the current lack of great leaders in Christendom and lists the following emotional attitudes as the problems identified with the younger generation of Christian leaders, and society as a whole:
●
Fear
●
Arrogance
●
Self-glory
●
Insecurity
●
Selfishness
●
Greed
●
Lack of
self-control
●
Lack of loyalty
●
Impatience
●
Plain refusal to
be nurtured, mentored or coached
Rev Baisie explores a number of detailed leadership skills and effective communication tools and additionally provides an insight into how to effectively manage a Church Department, or for that matter, any other secular office.
Again, outlining examples, leaders are warned to be wary of temptation, sin and ungodly affections, and encouraged to jealously guard their anointing through reverent living, anchored among other things, on fervent prayer and constant communion with God.
The high point of this enlightening work is the grand conclusion which assures the younger generation of leaders in particular, that God is indeed a Faithful Rewarder of every selfless service rendered under the sun. The emphasis that, it is God alone who elevates those who faithfully discharge their obligations in any work endeavor, whether in the secular world or Christian Ministry, is a wake-up call to Christians in every field of human enterprise.
