Apostle Frederick K.C. Price uncovers an abundance of truth in this brilliant explication of the book of Colossians. The letter, written by the Apostle Paul to the church at Colossae, gives us a sense of his love and concern for the church, even though Paul’s, writing from a Roman prison had never seen it.
It is likely that the church was founded by Epaphras, who was probably converted under Paul’s ministry while at Ephesus, about 100 miles away. The fact that the church was being challenged by a belief in Gnosticism and other heretical ideas occasioned Paul’s letter.
The letter assures believers of Christ’s deity, of their citizenship in the kingdom of God, and of their authority in Christ Jesus. It refutes false teaching, religious doctrine, worldly thinking, fleshly lifestyle and the notion that the Bible is a book of secret knowledge that only a few privileged could understand.
