"The lectures of Charles Finney on Revival constitute probably
the most exhaustive treatment of the subject that can be found. The
lectures were the result of intense study, both of the Bible and of
human need, by a man of lofty spirituality and distinguished as
evangelist, pastor and theologian.
"In this book an attempt has been made to gather the main points from
the large amount of material available, in order to provide a handbook
for those Christian workers who would learn the simple principles which
govern the promise of Revival.
"It is taken for granted that God’s blessing will come in His own way
and in His own good time, but Finney shows that the scriptures have made
it plain that blessing follows when certain conditions are fulfilled in
the hearts and lives of men.”
— E.E. SHELHAMER
