Operating The Gift Of Love

 

 

In this book, "The Practice Of Love", Pastor Eastwood wishes to show that love must be our way of life. We cannot live less than a life of love. We are to practise love and not just experience sporadic flushes of love once in a while - it is a life long vocation.

It is important for us to know where we begin our love life. One must have a love account to draw from. Until we understand God's love for us, we cannot love others. We love God because He first loved us. When others love us they give us the capacity to love someone else. If this does not happen the opposite occurs - we receive hatred and dish out hatred. What we receive is crucial - we constantly inhale love and exhale it. We should therefore not only position ourselves to love others but also to receive love .
